What is the Care Leaver’s Bursary?

0

If you have been in Local Authority care for 3 months since the age of 14, and you are under 25 when you start your full-time studies at UWE, you may be eligible for an annual Care Leaver Bursary. You must be a ‘home’ or UK resident student registered on a full-time undergraduate programme. This includes NHS-funded students on degree or diploma programmes. The Bursary is paid to you for each academic year of your programme apart from when you are on a full-year paid placement. In addition to the Care Leaver Bursary, you may also be eligible for either the Access Bursary or the Income-assessed Bursary.
