What is the Card Access Security System?
A security system designed to control access to residence halls. Your student ID card will be used to gain access to a residence hall. In most cases, a key will still be required to enter your room, however, there are some locations where entrance to bedrooms may be granted using your student ID card. These locations include the Residential College Complex and Blake Hall. The Department of Residential Life currently uses two card access technologies, an online system and an offline system. The online system is controlled over our campus network and the offline system is controlled by hardware in the local lock. Who has access and when? You will have access to your assigned hall.
