What is the Carbon Reduction Commitment (CRC)?
The CRC is the UK’s first mandatory carbon trading scheme targeting emissions from around 5,000 large business and public sector organisations. If your organisation has half-hourly metered electricity consumption greater than 6,000 MWh per year, which translates to roughly £500,000 in electricity bills, it is implicated in this scheme. The Carbon Reduction Commitment Summit is designed to help those managing CRC compliance begin to define their new carbon management strategy, delegate responsibilities internally, budget for CRC participation and identify cost-savings solutions.
