What is the Carassauga Festival?
Established in 1985, the Carassauga Festival is an incorporated not-for-profit organization that organizes a city-wide multicultural festival to promote understanding, respect and co-operation among all Canadians of different heritage. This annual three-day family event spans 20 operating hours and is scheduled during the last weekend in May. Pavilions featuring a wide variety of activities depicting many cultures are showcased in public buildings throughout the city. Each pavilion represents a different country, and is operated by a local volunteer ethno-cultural organization.
