What is the capacity of the secondary containment?
The standard Insta-Dike utilizes a 5 high platform that is 12 x 64. The containment sides are twelve inches high. We rate this as a 4800-gallon capacity. This allows for minor splashing and the displacement of the tanker tires. The federal code requires containment of the largest compartment of the tank truck. Typical tanker compartment sizes vary in different sections of the country, as well as the overall length of trucks. (EPA regulations do not require anticipated rainfall to be considered when sizing loading rack secondary containment. Your engineer should check with local codes in your area.) We can vary the Insta-Dike dimensions to meet your individual needs.
