What is the capacity (MW) of the Tiree Array site?
The Tiree Array site has the potential to generate anywhere between 500MW to 1800MW of clean green energy – enough to power 270,000 to 1,000,000 households. The final MW capacity will depend on the seabed and other conditions in the area for which permission is granted, as well as technical constraints such as electrical grid connection limitations. If the full capacity is installed, the Tiree Array will be the biggest off shore wind farm in Scotland and one of the biggest in Europe.
