What is the capability of the GuardRite Strap System in stopping fork trucks?
When using double posts and double straps, the system will stop 10,000 pounds traveling at 4 mph without damage to the straps or posts. The straps will deflect varying amounts based on strap length. Please see deflection chart on the brochure. Q: How many impacts can the straps withstand? A: The testing that we conducted has shown that the barrier can withstand over 10 full impacts before requiring replacement. Straps showing fraying should be replaced. Q: When you look at the straps after impact, it sometimes looks like they are stretched. How do you retension the straps?
