What is the Canadian governments action on genetically modified food?
Canada has been one of the four countries that were most known for commercial production of genetically modified canola, cotton, maize and soybeans. The other three countries have been Argentina, China, and the United States. The government approves use within Canada of all genetically modified products that are like real food, and that aren’t dangerous if consumed. But the government won’t approve labels that differentiate, for the customer, between food that’s gmo-free and food that’s not.
