What is the Canadian Computing Competition?
While not an admission requirement, you’re encouraged to participate in the Canadian Computing Competitions if you’re particularly interested in programming and problem solving. The competition is designed to test your abilities in designing and understanding algorithms as well as programming. The languages that competitors are permitted to use are Pascal, C, C++, Basic, Turing, Java, or any of their dialects. Other languages may be used with approval from the organizing committee. Topics covered in the competition include mathematical problems, programming problems, and the problems that address the design and analysis of an algorithm. The results of the CCC may be used as one of a number of factors in scholarship decisions.
