What is the Canada Learning Bond (CLB)?

0

The Canada Learning Bond is a program the Government of Canada is offering to help low income families start saving early for their children’s post-secondary education. Children born after December 31, 2003 are eligible for a CLB for every year that the family receives the National Child Benefit (NCB) supplement, up to and including the year in which the child turns 15 years of age. The amount of the CLB will be $500 in the first year and $100 in any succeeding year of entitlement. The lifetime maximum CLB is $2,000.
