What is the call schedule like for interns and residents?
Intern call is typically four or five times per month, except for your months on OB when six calls per month are required. You are usually on-call at least one weekend day per month but rarely more than twice. The second- and third-year residents have one required OB call each month. Interns and residents have the afternoon after (or the morning before) being on-call off to comply with ACGME policy.
