0

The Cal Grant program is the largest state grant program in the country. To qualify you must be a California resident attending a college in California, file the FAFSA form and meet GPA and other requirements. The grant covers most of the tuition and fees at a California State University or University of California campus and up to $6000 at a private college. Students who qualify while in community college will receive their Cal Grant when they transfer. In addition, low income students may qualify for an additional $1550 per year while enrolled in a community college.
