What is the cake serving fee on my wedding estimate?
If Hoffmann & Company catering provides the Wedding cake and or grooms cake the fee for cake cutting is waived. In the event the client wishes to provide cakes from an outside baker, then we charge a cake cutting fee. This covers the set-up of the cakes, cleaning of any cake plates and the return of any supplies to the baker after the event. If also covers the frustration factor. I can’t tell you how many times I have been up to my arm pits in cake because someone’s Aunt Tilly thought she could bake a wedding cake, or how many times I have had to re-ice a cake that was not handled properly.
