What is the Bus Rapid Transit route?
Bus Rapid Transit is a system using buses on a segregated or part-segregated route. The BRT route will link the extended Newbridge P&R facility to the A4 Eastern Bath P&R, providing a high quality east/west cross-city public transport corridor. Approximately 17% (1.4km) of the whole BRT route is dedicated off-street busway, segregated from on-street traffic, allowing services to by-pass congestion.
