The Buncombe County Rescue Squad is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization that was established in 1962 to provide EMS and Rescue Services for our fellow citizens who find themselves life-threatening situations. The Rescue Squad is not a county agency and receives very little funding from the county. Our operational income relies primarily on our ambulance service and from fundraisers and donations.
