What is the BSW program at Western New England College like?

Our classes are small, and students form close connections with their peers and with faculty. Courses are generally taught in discussion format, using experiential activities, guest speakers, debates, and other methods to enable students to take an active role in the classroom. Most of our courses provide students with opportunities for learning beyond the classroom. There is much personal interaction between students and faculty, and a student is not just a number in our program. Local employers report that our graduating students are some of the best beginning social workers in the area. Most of our students eventually go on to graduate school. Students have been accepted at NYU, Smith, Columbia and other nationally known schools.
