WHAT IS THE BROWN RESIDUE IN MY STERILISER?

A. That build-up is usually lime scale and is residue left from non-distilled water or soap used in cleaning the bottles. You should de-scale your steriliser every four weeks to ensure it continues to work 100% effectively. This build up is easily removed by following these instructions: 1. Remove the rack and lid from the sterilizer. 2. Pour 100ml white vinegar mixed with 200ml cold water into the steriliser. 3. Allow the mixture to sit overnight or until any lime scale has dissolved. (NB. DO NOT switch the steriliser on). 4. Empty the unit and rinse thoroughly. * DO NOT use bleach or chemical sterilising solutions/ tablets in your steam steriliser or on products to be sterilised.
