The BrightScope On Target Index is a tool created by BrightScope and partner Target Date Analytics. The index enables 401k market participants to see how accurately a target date fund lives up to its stated goals as outlined in the prospectus. Unlike other target date indexes, the BrightScope On Target Index considers actual participant behavior when determining the appropriate asset allocation for participants approaching retirement. The BrightScope On Target Index provides plan sponsors, advisors, and participants with a barometer for both performance and risk.
