What is the brigham young university.. its for mormons, but what exactly is it?
This name can refer to one of three universities owned and operated by the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Most often, when one is talking about Brigham Young University, one is referring to the oldest and largest of these campuses, the one in Provo, Utah. This one has a student population of over 30,000 and offers both undergraduate and graduate degrees in many areas of the arts and sciences. Many of its academic programs are highly ranked among all the universities in then nation. This plus the relatively low tuitions cause BYU to also rank high as one of the best deals in high education in the nation. In addition to this, BYU also tends to have very good sports programs with the football and basketball teams consistently doing well. The other two campuses are not well know out side of LDS circles. They are Brigham Young University – Idaho in Rexburg, Idaho, and Brigham Young University – Hawaii in Laie, Hawaii. These two campuses are significantly smaller than the Provo
