What is The Breton Groups history with Michigan libraries?
Our first library client was the Greenville Public Library (now the Flat River Community Library) in 1995. We conducted a feasibility study and then a capital campaign to help the Greenville community raise $1.2 million for a new library. Since then we have worked with more than 50 libraries and the Library of Michigan Foundation, conducting needs assessments, feasibility studies, capital campaigns and millage/bond campaigns to help libraries grow. Through our library experience, we have learned that community involvement is key to any successful project, and we build community participation into all of our services. We work with libraries from the time they realize they need to grow through the millage/bond election celebration. In addition, we present frequently at the Loleta Fyan Rural Libraries Conference and at MLA.
