What is the Brethren Churchs position on sexual abuse?

0

The Church finds sexual abuse of any person, and certainly of children, to be abhorrent and evil. The Church views such matters seriously and takes all the necessary precautions to ensure this does not occur within the church. Whilst cases which have been raised are not of an institutionalized nature, the Church nevertheless recognizes the seriousness of these matters and has introduced further safeguards to reduce the risk of an offence being committed. The Church believes that these matters must be dealt with by the Police and any other relevant authority to ensure the protection of others and a fair, impartial and comprehensive investigation can be carried out.
