What is the Brand, Prefix and Breeders Test all about?
• Those who wish to breed horses must register their prefix and if they have ever owned and used a brand on a miniature horse or pony at any time it must also be registered with us. • By registering a prefix and brand (if applicable) it indicates the applicant wishes to be a breeder. • To be able to register foals they have bred with the Federation a breeder must successfully complete our Breeders Test and information booklet. This will be sent out to those who register their prefix and brand (if applicable) with the Federation immediately after their membership has been accepted. • The Breeders Test is not difficult and the information booklet sent with it has all the answers within its contents. This test is to ensure people have minimum adequate knowledge of breeding horses.
