What is the book The lord of the Flies about?
The book Lord of the Flies is about what happens when a group of boys, aged from 6 to 12, crash land on an uninhabited tropical island with no adults. If shows how, unlike in most boys’ adventure books, the boys don’t build clever tree houses with elevators powered by running water or catamarans from hollowed out logs. They don’t fight pirates or ward off the attacks of headhunting cannibals or man-eating sharks. Instead the book realistically shows how, when everything should be lots of fun it isn’t. Rivalry, cruelty, fear of the unknown and desire for power tears their group apart and results in at least two, and probably three, deaths.
