What Is The Blood Vascular System?

0

The human body is made up of organs, bones, muscles, tissues, skin and blood vessels. The body’s network of blood vessels, which carries blood to and from cells, is called the blood vascular system. The blood is constantly being circulated in the body through arteries and veins. Oxygen rich blood is pumped out of the heart and is carried by the arteries to all parts of the body. In the cells and tissues of various organs, the arteries break down into smaller and smaller vessels called capillaries. As the blood moves through the capillaries the oxygen and nutrients move out in to the cells to nourish them and the waste matter and the carbon dioxide moves in. The blood after leaving the capillaries enters the veins which become larger and larger to carry blood back to the heart. Exchange of the metabolites and oxygen is possible because the flow of blood becomes very slow and the walls of the capillaries are sufficiently thin. The vascular system works hand in hand with other body system
