What is the binding capacity per resin disc?
Does the resin bind all species of Albumin? Cibacron* Blue resin binds human, swine, and sheep albumin, it will bind bovine, rat, calf, and goat albumin with some optimization. The resin does not bind Mouse Albumin. Is the purification method compatible with Urea? No. Urea will denature the albumin, destroying the protein’s binding site and preventing it from binding to the resin. Will the method remove albumin that is bound to other sample components? This varies. The resin will sometimes remove the albumin-sample complex. However, if the sample is blocking the albumin binding site, then the albumin will not bind.
