What is the bike size?
Bicycle sizes are measured in two different ways. Adult bicycles for comfort and mountain bikes have 26 diameter wheels. This measurement refers to wheel size, but not the frame size. Often, an adult bike will have 26 wheels and for woman, a 17 frame and for men, an 18 or 19 frame. The FRAME SIZE is measured from the center of the crank are of the bike (Bottom Bracket) up the frame, to the top of the seat tube, where the seatpost enters the frame. An adult bike can have many different frame sizes for the same size wheel. As a general rule, you can usually take your inseam length minus about 12 and that is the size frame that would fit well for you when choosing mountain and comfort bikes.
