What is the Biggest Misconception that Black Men Have about Black Women?
There are many different ideas about Black women circulating through society. Responding to the outcry of women who feel the images are too often negative or distorted, Hot 10 Magazine went straight to the source to clear up some of the biggest misconceptions about Black women. Joi, 36, attorney Black men seem to be under the mistaken impression that Black women are genetically predisposed to tearing our men down. I have heard many Black men complain that all Black women question and berate their men, that we are unable to allow them to be stronger or to lead the relationship. They usually express these views as justification for why they don’t date Black women. In fact, this could not be further from the truth. There are a lot of us who are very supportive of our men, who lift them up from underneath, who know how to be yielding and how to cheer them on for their good and ours.
