What is the Big Deal About the Presidents Speech to School Kids?
The transcript was available a day before the speech. It was harmless. In fact, it was stuff that all kids should hear. Information to motivate them, encourage them and generally give them reasons to keep doing their best. Isn’t this information that everyone should year, even adults? Why would any parent want to deny their children a chance to hear this? I don’t care if you’re Republican or Democrat, if you’re white, black or orange. This wasn’t a political message, it was a way for the President to say hi and try to keep kids in school. Keep them learning. Instead we have parents who’d rather keep their kids in the dark. I feel sorry for kids who have parents this closed minded. It’s just silly. I’m registered republican and wouldn’t have appreciated a political message. However, this speech wasn’t about politics.
