What is the BG Group culture like?
I’d say the culture at BG Group is really friendly. It’s something I’ve noticed from the very beginning when I came here as an intern. Even then, everyone was nice to me. They’d come up and introduce themselves no matter how high in the company they were. From the workflows down to how you want your career to progress, it’s also really flexible. So I think the relaxedness and flexibility just all add up to make it a nice place to work. How do you see your future with BG Group? I’m still just trying to plan the next few placements within my graduate scheme. The way I see it, I can then use those to decide where I want my future to be. By the time I’m finished, I’ll have done four placements – each in a completely different areas of geophysics. So hopefully that’ll then give me some idea of where I want to go, be it exploration or development. From other people’s experiences I know that BG Group are very flexible, so within reason I’ll be able to do whatever I want to do. What advice wou
