What is the best wireless router available?
The gentleman who said the Linksys 54gs is absolutely correct to a point. Cisco is the best in networking. (They practically invented networking) Depending on how much you want to spend. Check Cisco’s new (fairly new) “Valet” series. The E3000 can do everything you asked and much, much more. The -N router will be the fastest, but you may run into issues with older RAP cards or usb access points. My opinion, stay away from Belkin. Netgear/D-link are okay. Not my fav. Remember to check -n routers compatibility. Also, watch the channel you’re broadcasting. Most wireless isp’s use channel 6. Most routers are defaulted to 6. If you’re not getting the speed you should, change router channel to 1 or 11. Any channels other than 1 or 11 and you could pick up interference from harmonic distortion. Noise. 1 and 11 are as far away from 6 as you can get. Good Luck!
