This depends on what abilities you want to use. Backstab and Ambush can only be used whenyou have a dagger equipped in your main hand. However, if you plan on using Sinister Strike allthe time, and not Backstab, you are better off using a sword or mace, since those weapon typeswill generally do more damage with SS.
