What is the best way to valet a car?
How long do you want to spend on the valet? The key to good cleaning is being thorough – that means door jambs, edges of panels and all the bits that usually get forgotten. The best wash technique though is that when washing, use a micro fibre or lambs-wool mitt (NOT a sponge) and two buckets of water – one filled with warm water with car shampoo (Tesco Red shampoo is a good choice) and the other with cold water. Then wash one panel at a time, going from the wash bucket to the panel, then to the rinse bucket, rinse the mitt, then back to the wash bucket etc etc.. if done right, you will end up with all the muck and dust in the rinse bucket and your wash bucket should be relatively clean. And of course your car will be clean. Let the car dry naturally if you have soft water, otherwise use a soft towel or microfibre cloth to dry off the last of the water. For a quick and easy finish, you are best using hand applied products from Autoglym. I’d use Super Resin Polish applied by hand using
