What is the best way to trim my cats claws?
When a cat’s nails are long, they become curved, almost like a hook. I have no doubt that your cats nails are getting stuck. The best way to trip them is to get either proper cat nail clippers (Scissor or guillotine style) or, if the nails are small enough, you can use a large set of normal clippers made for human nails. Grab their paw gently and push down. This will encourage the claw to come out and then match the clippers up parallel to the nail so that the blades are on either side of the nail (it prevents you from crushing it) and then just clip away to the length desired. Don’t forget the quick though. In light nails you can see it running along the bottom side of the nail. If you cut this, there will be blood and one pissy kitty!
