I. Protein Protein Treatments- Do I need one? I remember hearing once that hair is 98% protein and 2% moisture. If your hair is not color-treated and not exposed to alot of sunlight and is not subject to heat-styling like blow-drying and a iron etc, you probaly do NOT need protein. If your hair is color-treated, you will benefit from a once-a-week protein treatment. If you heat style, you would benefit from a protein treatment every two weeks or so. If you are exposed to water and sunlight alot, a protein treatment 1-2 times a month would be beneficial. If you do many of things mentioned and feel your hair is damaged (brittle, split ends, little white dots on your hair that when you pull on the end the hair will snap off), you should be using a protein treatment 1-2 every two weeks and should consider the Aphogee treatment which I will explain about later.
