I. Protein Protein Treatments- Do I need one? I remember hearing once that hair is 98% protein and 2% moisture. If your hair is not color-treated and not exposed to alot of sunlight and is not subject to heat-styling like blow-drying and a iron etc, you probaly do NOT need protein. If your hair is color-treated, you will benefit from a once-a-week protein treatment. If you heat style, you would benefit from a protein treatment every two weeks or so.
