Children love stories. Start by reading to them at an early age. Get two copies of the book so you can both read along. Use books for entertainment rather than TV or other forms of passive entertainment. (Our family uses the piano and singing for a good portion of our evening entertainment). Phonics is critical in teaching a child to read. A2 offers an excellent phonics product, as part of our curriculum.
