Bring your credit/debit cards with you. Visa, Master, American Express etc are widely accepted in almost all shops, hotels, and restaurants. You can use your card to draw cash at ATMs at your bank’s commission rate. You can also exchange GBP at any bank or exchange office in Turkey. Just check banks’ or exchange office’s digital display boards for the daily rates. Of course, shopkeepers will accept them for slightly lower rates than banks, which is normal. When I travel to UK I get some GBP in cash and also use my credit cards there. You can do the same in Turkey. Have a nice holiday. Do taste “doner kebab” and “baklava” but make sure it’s a quality place. I don’t want you to taste the cheap kind and get disappointed.
