The most efficient method for sending your letters of recommendation is to have your recommenders email them directly as an attachment (either a Word document or a PDF file) to our Admissions Coordinator, Lucy Neighbors, at lbjadmit@uts.cc.utexas.edu. Note: emailed letters of recommendation must come directly from your recommenders and may not be forwarded by you. Alternatively, you may send your letters by mail. Once you have identified who will write your letters, you should contact each recommender, ask for a letter of recommendation on letterhead and provide each with a completed Letter of Recommendation Consent Form (download from our admission webpage). The recommender should then provide you with the letter, accompanied by the Consent From, in a sealed envelope. You should mail all three sealed envelopes together, to the LBJ School.

To ensure that all three of your letters of recommendation arrive in a timely manner and are added to your file, it is best to contact your recommenders early. Keep in mind that faculty may be busy or unavailable as it gets closer to the holiday break. Once you have identified who will write your letters, you should contact each recommender and ask for a letter of recommendation on letterhead. The letter should be sent as an e-mail attachment with your name in the subject line to the Admissions Coordinator at lbjadmit@uts.cc.utexas.edu. If you plan to waive your right of access to a letter, please send an email to the Admissions Coordinator stating the name(s) of your recommenders and the fact that you are waiving your access rights.
