The best way to study for almost anything involves the following: Take care of any distractions (eating, using the bathroom, other obligations) before you begin. Choose a quiet, well-lit area that offers adequate space to work in and is free of clutter. Take care of anything that could serve as a distraction, e.g. turning off or unplugging cell phones, televisions, computers, video game systems, or even removing them from the room if necessary. Make sure you have everything you need on hand, to limit how often you have to take a break from studying to go get it. This includes everything from books to pencils to scrap paper. Set a schedule with several short breaks throughout to give yourself a chance to relax and clear your head, and stick to it. If you live or study around other people, explain to them in advance that you will be studying for an important exam, and at what time. As them to please keep any noise or distractions to a minimum, in so much as is reasonable. Most of all, st
