What is the best way to store project specific files in Techbase?
We recommend that you store Techbase databases, and any informational files (.out), runlogs (.rlg) and metafiles (.met) in unique project directories. You can then access these files, that are mostly project specific, without the danger that they will be overwritten each time you access Techbase. The default location for storage of these files is your Windows/Temp directory, so the challenge is to direct Techbase to change the default file storage location. There are two methods to designate where Techbase stores files. During the initial installation of Techbase, a short cut to techbase.exe is placed on the desk top of your computer. While working on specific projects, you can set the “Start In” directory to point to the project directory. The “Start In” directory can be set by pointing to the shortcut, and clicking the right mouse button, then selecting the “Properties” menu.
