What is the best way to store old photographs?
For longest life, photographs should be stored in a cold (0 degrees Fahrenheit or colder), dark place with as little humidity as possible and kept in acid free storage containers or envelopes. However, for displaying photos in our homes, they should be stored in acid free archival quality photo albums or frames, away from sunlight in a room with low humidity and low variability of temperature and humidity.
