What is the best way to store books?
• Store in a clean, cool, dry location. Avoid the attic or basement, which are apt to be either too hot and dry, or damp • Protect the books from direct sunlight that will cause the covers and spines to fade • Store books upright on shelves or in boxes at least 6″ off the floor • Use bookends to keep books standing vertically and from falling over • Large books can be placed on their sides, but only stack 3 books high • Never store a heavy book with its fore edge (front edge) down.
