What is the best way to ship items to or from RISD?
The RISD Mailroom staff work with a local UPS shipper located at 11 South Angell St., Providence RI 02906, to help during our busiest times. You may contact UPS directly at 401 751-6245. For shipping items home at the end of the spring term, UPS staff come to the First Year Quad for several days. They offer shipping supplies and receive packages on site. For the fall move-in, the RISD Mailroom will send specific shipping instructions in early July. You may ship items beginning in early August and the UPS Store will receive, store and deliver items to RISD just prior to the opening of school. These items may be received in the First Year Quad at check-in. At other times, shipped items should be addressed to: Student Name RISD Box #_____ 2 College St. Providence RI 02903 You cannot ship anything directly to a studio or residence hall*.
