I found the best way was to collect all my work I had done and consolidate it and present it well! I split my work into sections: the book I studied, poetry, creative writing etc. Then I worked firstly directly on the computer and used A5 sheets – try to pick one topic and fit it entirely on one sheet. For example, for the book I studied I had one A5 sheet for each of the following: 1) each chapter 2) each main character + language used 3) 5 main themes 4) context and author For poetry I used an A5 sheet to sum up: 1) themes 2) main language points 3) form, structure and rhythm 4) context and poet I made sure to use quotes and learn them almost off by heart, or put in page/line references to save time looking for quotes in the exam! I also colour coded everything, but I am a very visual learner and remember stuff well by thinking “the role of women…I colour coded that pink, what key words and quotes did I see on that page?” – you may learn differently though.
