What is the best way to remove stains from baby clothes?
I know all about those instances when the diaper just doesn’t seem to do it’s duty after your baby has done it’s “doody.” I found that mixing up a scoop of OxyClean powder in about half a sinkful of warm water and soaking the soiled items in that for about 30 minutes took care of any staining. Just make sure to rinse as much of the stain as you can out first, then come back and rub the fabric together a few times while it is soaking — and get it into the laundry as soon as you take it out of the OxyClean solution. I used the original OxyClean, but I notice that they make an “OxyClean Baby” now, too. I also like Zout, which is a stain remover that you can use on set-in stains or even stains that have been through the dryer (that happens a lot when my husband does the laundry!). It has saved me many times. I usually do the OxyClean and then hit it with a little Zout before throwing it in the washer. Good Luck!
