What is the best way to quickly (and humanely) catch a mouse in my room?

i had an experience with my hamster (not quite a mouse but still close) Make sure the door is closed so they can only be in that one room. Take a box like a shoe box, put it on its side and put a little food in it (not entirely sure what mice eat). Sit very still. Sooner or later the mouse will not be able to contain it curiosity and come to investigate. Lid on box once its in. Either that or move items about in the room creating a smaller and smaller space for the mouse to move in, again you’ll probably need some sort of container to get it. Above all you need lots of patience i had to wait an hour to recpature mine!
