What is the best way to prevent soft or saggy breasts after pregnancy and breastfeeding?
Honestly, there is not a lot you can do. It is actually the pregnancy itself, not the nursing, that causes this. Lots of women who have had babies and never nursed have soft/saggy breasts, too. The changes that occur are usually the worst during your first pregnancy. Most professionals recommend wearing a supportive bra as much as possible. Watch out for underwire, though. It can possibly contribute to mastitis. It can help to keep your weight gain steady and within the 15-25 recommended pounds, too. This can reduce stretch marks. Really, once you have had a baby, whether they get really soft/saggy or not, they will just never be the same again. Sorry, but for most women, this is just the way it is. It really is ok! Barring surgery, noone looks 16 forever.
