What is the best way to peel and remove the fruit from a pomegranate?
Wear latex gloves if you have them so your hands and nails don’t get stained from the juice. Cut the fruit in half and start breaking it apart with your hands in a large bowl filled with water like a mixing bowl. As you break the fruit apart, all the seeds should loosen off the rind and the inner membrane without popping or damaging the seeds. I can’t remember if the seeds float to the top and the rind sinks in the water or the other way around but it’s a lot less messy than any other way I’ve tried.
