What is the best way to memorize a non rhyming poem?
You could make a song about it, or perhaps do an interpretive dance that you can memorize more easily. You can make up really random/goofy sayings to help remember the order of the lines. For example, if the poem said “The trees sway in the wind, my chair groans under me,” then think to youself “cut down a tree to make a chair” if you forget which is said first. Making little pictures for each line could really help, too. Something that reminds you of what the line is saying would be best. Practice looking at the pictures (line them up nicely in order) and saying the lines. If you get stuck remembering, then just try to remember which picture goes next. Good luck! Keep memorizing!
