What is the best way to lose fat in my hips/upper thighs?
I am going to tell you something that you probably will not like hearing/reading. Females usually store excess weight as fat in the lower regions. This is called gynoid fat. This fat is the most difficult and stubborn to lose. It is not impossible, however it will not melt off like abdominal fat does. The reason is because it is not active fat. Abdominal fat is active and responds to activity and cellular respiration very well. Thigh and hip fat is just the opposite. Keep doing what you are doing and stay positive. It will eventually slim down. Just know that it is stubborn stuff to get rid of. Stay active. Walking is the best for burning fat stores. Try to get in as many miles a day as possible. FYI: The worst thing you can do is combine fatty foods and simple sugars. That is the quickest way to put on excess weight. Example of fat and sugar combos would be burger and fries with a soda or milkshake.
