What is the best way to litter box train an 8 week old kitten?
Usually litter-training a cat is not very difficult. I would think at 8 weeks they should already know what to do, but in any case…. Right after eating, a kitten that age should need to “go” – place them in the litterbox and gently drag one of their front paws through the litter. The cat should figure out the rest! If your cat is already having accidents elsewhere, I would suggest cleaning the favoured spot with an enzymatic cleaner and then placing the litterbox over that spot. The cat should then start using the box and you can eventually move it over a period of time to the location you’d like to have the litterbox.
